Community Organizing
Part of the work that OSSTF District 19 does as a labour union involves building connections and organizing with community groups and fellow labour unions who share our vision of building a more equitable and just society. We'll use this space to share information about how you can join us in the community.
If you'd like to get more involved in your community, a great place to start is by checking out the Peel Regional Labour Council's website here:
peellabour.ca
. We also encourage members to join a PRLC committee. See below for more details.
On October 21st, the ultra-conservative right have once again planned nationwide events to protest teaching 2SLGBTQIA+ content in schools under the guise of protecting children. We encourage members and the community to join us and the Ontario Federation of Labour in standing up to protect 2SLGBTQIA+ kids. More information on how you can help can be found by clicking on the picture below:

Parent Council Resources
Every school in the PDSB has an OSSTF member who is elected by the teachers at the school to be a representative on the school's Parent Council. Check back here for updates and resources for Peel parents so that we can continue to work together to protect and enhance our public schools.
Parents who wish to be more involved in supporting public education in Ontario are encouraged to visit

for resources and more information about how you can get involved.
